There are now numerous ebook readers available. Some of these have their own ebook formats that mean they are unreadable on most other types of reader. However, virtually all readers accept pdf files. It is for that reason that Darcy Press have standardised on providing books in pdf format and not in the proprietry formats peculiar to a specific ebook type.
